Providence Health & Services Principal Compliance Specialist for Physician Services Compliance in Burbank, California
Providence Saint Joseph Health is calling a Principal Compliance Specialist for Physician Services Compliance to PSJH in Renton, WA, Portland, OR, or Southern, CA.
We are seeking a Principal Compliance Specialist for Physician Services Compliance to be responsible for supporting the physician compliance functions of the department with emphasis on the collection, analysis, and presentation of compliance metrics related to physicians and their staff across PSJH. The senior compliance specialist will also support project activities of the department and represent physician compliance as needed with other departments of RIS. This position requires a high level of ability to work independently, analyze data, problem solve, and implement programs throughout the system.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Collecting, maintaining, preparing and updating performance metrics of the department relevant to activities of the department for presentation to executive leadership.
Conducting and completing compliance reviews and investigations as requested.
Reviewing documents, including department or organization transactions and provide guidance to mitigate the legal and regulatory risk and support organizational strategy.
Serving as a lead collaborator with internal departments and external vendors on compliance issues.
Serving as a key resource for compliance questions related to physician practices.
Assisting with identifying and developing compliance solutions (i.e. reports, tools) to enhance the compliance program and mitigate organizational risk.
Required qualifications for this position include:
5 years’ direct relevant experience in a health care setting, preferably in a multi-physician practice with emphasis on billing, coding and understanding of HIPAA rules and regulations affecting management of PHI.
Demonstrated expertise in use of Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and Vizio.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s Degree - May accept relevant experience in lieu of formal education.
