Providence Health & Services Manager of Epidemiology and Infection Control in Burbank, California
Providence is calling a full time Manager of Epidemiology and Infection Control to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA.
In this position you will:
Coordinate the development/implementation and maintenance of a program to identify and reduce the risk of acquiring and transmitting infections among patients, physicians, staff, volunteers, visitors, and others
Act as a consultant to other departments in the development or revision of infection-related policies and the investigation of related problem
Be responsible for the implementation of infection control measures and ongoing education to all hospital personnel as necessary
Investigate clusters of infections or changes in patterns or infection
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current California Licensed Registered Nurse or Medical Technologist
Infection control training as endorsed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or by the AMC
Certified by the Board for Infection Control
5 years previous management experience
5 years experience as an infection control practitioner with knowledge of sterilization, sanitation, disinfections practices, and infection control standards
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's degree
