Registered Nurse (RN)
The Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for providing professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care and acts as a patient education resource. Functions as primary liaison between patients and providers. Key functions and specific skills for the job are found in the unit specific onboarding checklist and in standards that are applicable to the specialty.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Maintains and reviews patient records, charts and other pertinent information. Interviews patient, documents chief complaint, measures vital signs and accurately records information in EMR. Communicates test results and instructions to patients per practice protocol.
Educates patient and family about diagnostic procedures, medications, chronic disease management and treatment instructions. Acts as a content expert and clinical resource by providing staff and patient education.
Uses critical thinking and triage skills to assess patient problems, both in the office and on the phone. Determines disposition of patient.
Establishes priorities in organizing daily activities, effectively manages patient flow and anticipates special equipment, solutions and miscellaneous supplies needed for various procedures.
Accurately documents all pertinent information regarding the patient in EMR.
Instructs patient in collection of samples and tests. Consistently demonstrates correct handling of procedure specimens per physician orders, including appropriate identification, labeling, dating and disposition of the specimen.
Maintains confidentiality of all information related to patients, medical staff, employees and as appropriate, other information.
Travel: May travel up to 10% of the time or between clinics as necessary.
Aligns practice with Safety and Quality: Accountable for safety, identifies and corrects problems, and integrates evidence, and best practice into nursing care; uses data and evidence to improve patient outcomes. Aligns patient safety, self-safety and environmental safety as equally important for best outcomes.
Engages in Professional Development: Engages in and models ongoing professional development; practices to the top of license within the legal parameters of the Nurse Practice Act, the Nursing Social Policy Statement, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, and specialty standards. Promotes a culture of inquiry that explores, integrates and disseminates research and evidence based practice

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Washington.
Current BLS – Healthcare Provider (must be AHA accredited) upon hire for Urgent Care and AS.
