Providence Health & Services System and Implementation Analyst in Beaverton, Oregon


Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a System and Implementation Analyst to our location in Beaverton, OR.

We are seeking a System and Implementation Analyst who will be responsible for maintaining our core systems Facets and EAM to ensure optimal system usage, in addition this role would play a key part in the implementation of new and renewing business. It is important to meet the changing needs of the organization while providing an efficiencies for the team. Key responsibilities include oversight of our main enrollment systems EAM/Facets, system configuration, meeting representation, resolving system issues and working with vendors.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Maintains an in-depth working knowledge of FACETS and integrated applications: understand the relationship between and implications of changes across applications as well as impacts to downstream reporting and vendors.

  • Perform system configuration analysis, design, coding and unit testing within Facets and integrated with Facets such as EAM.

  • Perform feasibility reviews.

  • Take initiative to bring up issues and concerns, make recommendations for resolution.

  • Collaborate with other departments/ teams to address concerns or complaints.

  • Maintains industry knowledge and stays abreast of regulatory changes and requirements.

  • Serves as a primary FACETS expert for managers and data analysts as well as regional and external customers. Frequently involved in the development and implementation of new processes.

  • Participate in meetings with business owners to achieve solutions that meet the requirements and expectations of the business. Identify gaps between external expectations and system limitations and suggesting configuration improvements or streamlined maintenance processes and techniques.

  • Participate in complex configuration tasks/projects as the lead from MA, develop and maintain project plans, documenting scope, hours estimate, resource needs and business impact analysis.

  • Develop and write technical procedural documentation.

  • Develop and execute system test plans to validate system fixes are complete and accurate and/or that new system enhancements are working as designed.

  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills; When data issues arise this position will need to work with the software vendor, system engineer, business analyst and others in order to determine what caused the data issues and identify solutions to correct it and ensure it works correctly going forward.

  • Investigates errors and anomalies in operating systems.

  • While configuring and testing ensuring that all CMS required elements are functioning as expected and if not make appropriate updates or establish a work-round until all compliance issues are resolved.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree inInformation Technology, Heath Care Mgmt, Business Admin, or related field -OR- equivalent education/experience.

  • Associate's Degree or a minimum of one year of relevant managed care operations experience and or CMS (Medicare/Medicaid).

  • High School Diploma or GED -OR- minimum of three years of relevant managed care operations experience and or CMS (Medicare/Medicaid).

  • 3 years relevant insurance managed care operations experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word (required), Excel(required).

  • 1-3 years experience in a configuration analyst role, configuring health plan software systems.

  • 1 year experience in an information technology database management environment.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • 3 years relevant insurance managed care operations experience (Medicare/Medicaid).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to MS Access, SQL.

  • Facets configuration and project experience.

  • Enrollment Administration Manager (EAM) configuration and working knowledge.

  • Prior experience in staff training, technical writing, documentation development, and report writing

  • Knowledge of process improvement methodology
