Providence Principal Technical Program Manager in Beaverton, Oregon
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Principal Technical Program Manager to our location in Redmond, WA; Portland, OR; Irvine, CA or Beaverton, OR.
We are seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager who will have scope within the Human Resources business domain within our Administrative Technologies group. The scope is both broad and deep, in terms of technical, process and continuous improvement required to develop and build enterprise wide IS services. Responsibilities will include engaging with business partners, technical analysis and design, and leading the project team (onshore and offshore). This role will work in a fast paced environment, have constant demands for on time delivery, and will require understanding our customer needs, analysis and design, project management, strong problem resolution, decision making, communication and partnering skills. It requires a leader to deal with high degrees of ambiguity, work independently, ensure strategic alignment, and effectively drive project delivery, while collaborating with the business, fellow IS organizations and the project teams.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Creates design options for feature areas that enable scenarios.
Evaluates data sources and research methods for use across the team.
Uses expertise on caregiver/partner strengths and weaknesses to articulate an approach that will differentiate the solution and appeal to caregivers.
Ensures that feature areas deliver the expected value to the caregiver and business objectives to PSJH. Consistently contributes key ideas to the vision that appeal to the caregiver’s sense of style, fun, and aesthetics as well as their functional needs.
Creates, evolves, and communicates specifications for feature areas that enable cohesive, compatible, iterable scenarios that span multiple feature teams and enable the multi-year vision.
Applies world-class technical, functional and caregiver/partner knowledge to respond to trends and opportunities.
Applies a strategic understanding of the timing and rationale for design choices for feature areas.
Reviews and contributes to the designs of peers.
Uses experience and expertise to improve design templates and process.
Ensures that scenarios are effectively explained and enabled across stakeholder, partner, and caregiver messaging strategies.
Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop and optimize messaging and supporting collateral to enable marketing, selling, and support for feature areas.
Partners with the field to ensure PSJH stakeholder readiness.
Establishes or improves systems to manage solution feedback from caregivers and resolve issues.
Defines and evolves ecosystem support resources for the duration of support lifecyle, such as content, tools, sample applications, and SDKs to enable user communities and drive adoption.
Defines the design iteration process for the team or organization, and leads improvements over successive releases.
Validates time estimates of others on the team.
Participates in design, code, and test planning and reviews across the feature area, understands the root causes of issues, and finds ways to resolve them.
Identifies multi-solution/service dependency issues and scheduling priorities, and establishes milestone exit criteria.
Has a sense of pride and personal accountability for end-to-end quality, completeness, and resulting user experience for the life of the solution/service.
Identifies unaddressed issues and resolves, escalates, or finds the appropriate owner to ensure the highest level of quality.
Uses the solution/service regularly to understand it thoroughly and discover ways to improve it.
Expertise leading and delivering programs comprised of several small to medium size projects, or a large complex project.
Leads with collaboration, manages key stakeholders, removes roadblocks, and drives overall quality project delivery.
Anticipates risks and issues and takes preventative actions.
Required qualifications for this positions include:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
8 years leadership experience, leading technical teams in a complex and fast past moving environment.
Prefered qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
5 years healthcare experience.
Technical background and experience.
Agile methodology using Azure Dev Ops.
