Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Pharmacy Resident: PGY-2 Population Health/Data Analytics to our location in Beaverton, OR.
This position is only open to candidates who have gone through the ASHP Phorcas PGY2 Pharmacy Residency process and who have interviewed with us.
Consistent with applicable law, full vaccination for COVID-19 or obtaining an approved exemption is a condition of employment. Medical & religious exemptions can be requested on your first day of work. Medical exemptions require a qualifying medical reason preventing safe vaccination and signed documentation from your medical provider; religious exemptions require sincerely held beliefs. Currently, caregivers with exemptions cannot work in positions with direct patient contact in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. Caregivers with approved exemptions may be required to follow additional protocols; COVID-19 testing, mandatory vaccine-related education, and/or other infection prevention requirements in accordance with ministry/facility policy, CDC, state & local public health government orders.
We are seeking a Pharmacy Resident: PGY-2 Population Health/Data Analytics to recognize the importance of participating in training programs that ensure the availability of pharmacy practitioners with expertise in the area of population health. The residency program is dedicated to providing the resident with the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to pursue a practice that focuses on population health and data analytics

2.Working with a variety of preceptors and adapting to their individual teaching styles and expectations.
3.Establishing effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the health plan.
4.Working extended hours and being flexible in hours of work.
Patient Population Served: Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric
Consequently, the employee must be competent in the interpretation of a patient's self-report or behavior, and this information must be interpreted with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial and chronological maturation process. The treatment of patients should be individualized and should reflect an understanding of the developmental needs and range of treatment needs for each patient.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
The Resident will participate in population health, data analytics, and pharmacy risk initiatives in a managed care population.
Experience will be provided in departmental goal setting and justification of clinical pharmacy services.
Focused attention will be given to population-based healthcare.
Development of physician, staff and patient education.
Maintains good rapport by interacting in conflict or difficult situations in a manner that facilitates constructive resolution.
Attends all required meetings. Maintains competency by attending appropriate continuing education programs including required safety education.
Demonstrates a desire to learn more, and actively pursues that goal. Shows motivation and enthusiasm in the practice of pharmacy.
Performs all duties in an independent manner and requests assistance when necessary.
Assumes personal responsibility for professional development and ongoing education
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate from an accredited college or university of pharmacy.
PharmD from an accredited college of pharmacy.
Completion of PGY1 Pharmacy Residency.
If not licensed at the time of initiation of the program, the resident is expected to obtain licensure from the Oregon Board of Pharmacy during the residency year.
