Providence Health & Services Director - Engineering Infrastructure in Beaverton, Oregon
Providence is calling a Director - Engineering Infrastructure to Providence Health Plan in Beaverton, OR.
In this position, you will:
Provide the infrastructure services vision, enable innovation and leverage Information Technology (IT) trends that can create business value in alignment to our business and Information Services strategy and roadmap.
Play a key role in the management and successful delivery of Information System (IS) strategic planning, project planning and budget planning efforts along with other members of the IS Leadership Team.
Lead strategic technology initiatives to build and maintain key elements of our enterprise infrastructure including but not limited to:
Datacenter infrastructure management and evolution
Mobility and remote access services
Ubiquitous wireless networks
Enterprise-scale contact center environments
Active directory integration
Innovative end user computing solutions
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
Strong leadership, planning and management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
10 years of managing mid/large IT operational (infrastructure) teams
Extensive knowledge of data center operations, telecommunications, network engineering, datacenter applications, client/server computing, and production operations support. Specific technologies of note include but not limited to:
Microsoft Server & Client operating system and infrastructure applications, Cisco Voice and Networking, VMware, Citrix, Pure and/or NetApp Enterprise-level SANs, Cisco Server infrastructures, and multi-carrier Wide Area Networks (WANs)
Experience implementing enterprise services technologies and working knowledge of emerging service frameworks
Experience supporting Microsoft’s technology stack for application, system interfaces and database development
Extensive and successive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Cloud infrastructure and development experience
Experience leading enterprise architecture strategy initiatives, governance experience
