Providence Health & Services Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (West Side of Portland Metro Area) in Beaverton, Oregon
Providence is calling a Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (CNA 2)- to one of our acute care west side hospitals in Portland Service Area. Our area hospitals include:
- Providence Newberg Medical Center: Newberg, OR
- Providence St. Vincent Medical Center: SW Portland, OR (near Beaverton)
This posting represents multiple openings within different units of the listed acute care hospitals. Our openings consist of positions that work 8,10 or 12 hour shifts for on-call, part-time and full-time positions.
Shifts include Day (approximately 7a-7p time frame), Evening (approximately 2p-10p time frame) & Night (approximately 7p-7a time frame). Schedules are communicated several weeks in advance and most of our openings require an every other weekend rotation.

*Hires will be required to attend a regional CNA2 training program which will consist of an 8am-5pm work day the first 2 weeks. Attendance each day of the first 2 weeks is mandatory*

In this position, you will:
Assist the registered nurse (RN) in providing comprehensive nursing care by performing specified duties and functions under the direct supervision of the RN.
Perform duties in a caring and respectful manner that promotes team functioning.
Consistently uphold standards of confidentiality, punctuality and attendance.
Required q ualifications for this position include:
Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (CNA 2) course, or "grandfathered" to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements
Current, active certificate to practice as a CNA 2 in Oregon
New onboarding caregivers must have a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
Preferred q ualifications for this position include:
- 1 year of experience as a CNA 2 preferred, but new grad CNA2s or those with less than 1 year of experience are also welcome to apply and training will be provided
