Providence Health & Services Scheduler II - Imaging Center in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Scheduler II (Providence Imaging Center - Scheduling, Day, 1.0 FTE) to the Providence Imaging Center in Anchorage, Alaska.
We are seeking a Scheduler II to coordinate patient reception, scheduling and registration.
In this position you will:
Accurately schedules patient procedures and appointments for PIC.
Accurately interview and retrieve specific information from the patient, family or other representative in a sensitive, respectful and confidential manner.
Follow departmental policy and uses appropriate communication means to keep all departments apprised of appointment changes.
Place outgoing calls and answers all incoming calls using correct phone etiquette and exemplary customer service skills.
Communicate with patients to provide accurate price estimates for various procedures performed within the PIC facility.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school graduate or equivalent
6 months clerical background involving public contact, preferably medical
Experience with multi-line telephone systems, personal computer, printers, copiers and fax machines
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Ancillary department (such as Radiology), clerical or Admitting Representative/Scheduling specialist experience

Providence Imaging Center (PIC) is an independent diagnostic testing facility for outpatient medical imaging, located on the east side of the Providence Alaska Medical Center campus. PIC completed an expansion, which added 8,000 square feet, and several pieces of new equipment and 23 dedicated PIC parking spots conveniently located adjacent to the facility. Board –certified Radiologists and a team of highly qualified trained technologist and professional clerical staff are dedicated to providing clients with high quality imaging exams in a caring comfortable and convenient environment.
