Providence Health & Services RN - Renal Care Unit in Anchorage, Alaska

Description:

Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) Staff (Renal Care Unit, Day Shift, 0.9 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska.

The RCU is a specialty unit focused on patients with acute and chronic kidney failure. Nurses on RCU become expert at caring for patients with this disease process and the many co-morbidities that accompany it. This may include failure of other organs, cardiovascular disease, congestive heart failure, major neurological problems, malnutrition and diabetes, among others. Our nephrology nurses perform peritoneal dialysis throughout the house, including Pediatric and NICU patients.

Renal care nurses are versatile, taking great care of a wide variety of patients. As a stepdown level unit we take overflow patients from the PCU as well as Medical/Surgical patients. As a higher acuity unit, our nurse to patient ratio is 1:4 and we do primary nursing care.

Our unit is a fast paced area with a team focus. We have great Nephrologists that support nursing staff with teaching and education. RCU is a great place to grow your career!
