Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Principal Cloud Solution Architect to our location in Redmond, WA; Seattle, WA; Spokane, WA; Missoula, MT; Portland, OR; Beaverton, OR; Lubbock, TX; Anchorage, AK or Irvine, CA.
We are seeking a Principal Cloud Solution Architect PSJH to help rationalize and modernize our application portfolio in partnership with IS application teams and leadership. Modernizing our application portfolio through native cloud services and solutions in alignment with organization's strategy and cloud adoption efforts will greatly help us prioritize our investments (people and financial) to build a more modern and resilient set of healthcare services. The role of the Principal Cloud Solution Architect is to develop an in-depth understanding of our application landscape (mastered in our CMDB), their current underlying architectural patterns and leverage this knowledge to create broad set of strategies and design principles to accelerate the cloud adoption and rationalization efforts. It’s a highly visible leadership role in which you will be required to interact across all levels (up to the CIO) in a very matrixed environment. The Principal Cloud Solution Architect leads the efforts that links the business needs, strategy, and processes to our IT strategy, platform needs and documents this using multiple architectural patterns. End goal of this key effort is to meet key business needs in an efficient, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner by providing modern, scalable and resilient platforms and IT systems.
Principle Enterprise Architects lead the development of a single holistic enterprise architecture model for the whole of the organisation, from all architecture perspectives (Business Services, Business Processes, Information, Applications and Technology). They ensure the Enterprise Architecture is closely aligned to the business Strategy, Business Operating Model and IT strategy, and satisfies all enterprise architecture requirements.
Principle Enterprise Architects operate across organizational and "silos" to drive common approaches and expose information assets and processes across the enterprise. Their goal is to deliver an architecture that supports the most efficient and secure IT environment meeting a company's business needs
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Align of IT strategy and planning with company's business goals.
Optimize of information management through an understanding of evolving business needs and technology capabilities.
Promote of shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information flow. Ensure that projects do not duplicate functionality or diverge from each other and business and IT strategies.
Lead architects and subject matter experts (SME) to provide a consensus based enterprise solution that is scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with ever-changing business needs.
Risk Management of information and IT assets through appropriate standards and security policies.
Direct or indirect involvement in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the enterprise.
Lead Governance and Compliance efforts.
Build employee knowledge and skills in specific areas of expertise.
Required qualifications for this position include:
10 or more years of advanced leadership responsibilities.
10 or more of heald architecture related roles and responsibilities.
10 or more years of being the subject matter expert in one or more domain areas.
Project and program management planning and organizational skills.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Expert knowledge of cloud services and modern IT / system architectures (Azure preffered).
Translate solution requirements to enterprise standards and patterns.
Experience working with healthcare systems in a Cloud First environment.
Proficiency with working in an Agile Framework and Engineering environment.
Ability to work with outside/3rd Party providers and vendors.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience.
Coursework/Training or equivalent education/experience
