Providence Health & Services Post Anesthesia Care Technician - Post Anesthesia Care Unit in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling Post Anesthesia Care Technician (Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Variable Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Provide patient care support by performing tasks that assist in the care and treatment of patients with illness or injuries, taking into account the patient’s physical and age-related needs.
Assist patients with activities of daily living and selective procedures.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate unit activities and flow of information between teams and other entities.
Communicate effectively with the RN or other caregivers regarding patient issues, family issues, MD issues, and equipment.
Record vital signs, and watches patient monitoring equipment alarms/signals.
Assist in the patient admitting, transfer, and discharge procedure.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program or 6 months of health care experience
Administrative experience in a healthcare setting
