Providence Health & Services Physical Therapist Pediatrics in Anchorage, Alaska

Description:

Providence is calling a Physical Therapist Pediatrics (Rehab Peds PT, Days, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

In this position you will:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate physical therapy under the prescription of a physician licensed in the State of Alaska

  • Communicate with team members and outside agencies to identify patient needs, changes, overall condition of patient, and determine future levels of care

  • Contact vendors for durable medical equipment needs

  • Assist in coordinating discharge plan

  • Document evaluation, plan, care delivered and outcomes according to hospital and department standards

  • Provide patient, family and community education

  • Demonstrate safe use and knowledge of equipment in home department

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s, Masters or Doctorate in Physical Therapy

  • Experience and credentials in pediatrics.

  • Current license to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Alaska
