Providence Health & Services Nuclear Medicine Technologist *on call* in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Nuclear Medicine, Variable, 0.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. In this position you will:
PROCEDURES: Perform a variety of Nuclear Medicine procedures according to department, hospital and national standards.
DOCUMENTATION: Responsible for accurately preparing and completing records for equipment, radiopharmaceuticals and patient data according to regulatory standards.
EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES: Responsible for quality assurance, quality control, maintenance and troubleshooting of Nuclear Medicine equipment. Responsible for management of radiopharmaceuticals and department supplies.
COMMUNICATION: Communicate with physicians, nurses and other team members concerning patient status, diagnosis, and other related information. Operates multiple communication and telecommunication systems. Coordinates scheduling of exams as necessary.
SAFETY AND EDUCATION: Comply with department, hospital and national radiation and safety standards. Completes education necessary to maintain licensure/certification required for employment.
TEAMWORK: Maintain team-oriented approach to high standards of patient care and efficient patient flow through department. Helpful, respectful and courteous at all times with co-workers maintaining positive work relationships.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: Implement care/services that recognize age/diversity specific needs/issues of customers served.
Complete initial and annual Competency Plan for assigned job and department. Adhere to Service Standards set forth by Providence Health & Services.
Schedule may vary to meet department and patient needs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduation from an approved school of Radiology Sciences with certification in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent educ/experience.
CNMT or ARRT (N) license required.
If registry eligible, must obtain license within one year of employment.
Current BLS certification required.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- One (1) year working as a staff Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
