Providence Health & Services Registered Nurse Navigator - Breast Health/Oncology in Walla Walla, Washington

Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) Breast Health/Oncology Navigator (Breast Center, Day, 1.0) to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

In this position you will:

  • Function as an advocate, interpreter, educator and counselor for Breast Center patients.

  • Maintain collaborative, professional working relationships with clinicians and administrative staff necessary to develop and implement successful cross-continuum care management.

  • Participate in system-wide care management and other program activities as requested.

  • Assist in the implementation of performance improvement programs for the care management of cancer patients.

  • Promote and provide patient, family, staff and community education through use of expert clinical knowledge base.

  • Facilitate and monitor patients’ progress; consult with primary physician, surgeons, radiologists, oncologists (or designee) and other members of the care delivery team as needed.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN)

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)

  • Experience in breast cancer/women's health

  • Bilingual in Spanish
