Providence Health & Services RN, Clinical Staff Supervisor - Valencia Primary and Urgent Care in Valencia, California
Providence is calling a full time, day shift Registered Nurse, Clinical Staff Supervisor at our Providence Medical Institute location in Santa Clarita, CA.
In this position you will:
Be a professional Registered Nurse responsible for overseeing direct patient care in the clinic as well as facilitating patient care flow.
Work in close collaboration with Practice Manager to ensure competency of clinical and non-clinical staff.
Mentor and develop all staff members.
Ensure all duties are performed in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects the Providence Health & Services mission and philosophy.
Assist with maintaining compliance to professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements and will support physicians and staff in delivering quality health care to patients taking into account the patients’ individual physical or age-related needs.
Perform all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission, philosophy and values.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing
Current California State Registered Nurse license
2 - 3 years experience in a progressive leadership role in an ambulatory clinic setting
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Current BLS-HCP-Basic Life Support –for Healthcare Providers – American Heart Association (AHA) – CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer accepted on hire until card expiration date
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Previous experience developing key relationships within an integrated delivery system such as hospital, health plan and support departments.
Ability to successfully work with Medical Assistants, Licensed Vocational Nurses, Registered Nurses, and Providers in designing, implementing and monitoring key operational initiatives
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
previous acute care exp as RN
ER or Urgent Care experience preferred
Experience with Electronic Medical Records, Windows, and Excel-based software
