Providence is calling a Performance Improvement Specialist (RN) ( Full Time / Day Shift ) for Transitional Care Administration Office at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance, CA.
In this position you will:
Function as a facilitator to the organization-at-large and to the Medical Staff in their commitment to improving the quality of patient care and organizational performance through the Performance Improvement Program.
Work with physicians and facility personnel to develop projects for review and analysis of aggregated data.
Abstract and manage appropriate data for a variety of purposes including indicator reporting projects, information management and decision making, and tracking and trending data for identification of variations in the delivery of patient care.
Assiststhe Director of Nursing and PerformanceImprovement/Infection Control Nurse in theplanning, development, implementation and management of the Facility-wide quality improvement program which is incompliance with JCAHO, The California Department ofPublic Health other regulatory requirements.
In conjunction with the department managers,medical staff and the Care Council.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in health related field.
Current California State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Working knowledge of JCAHO standards and CDPH/or regulatory agency requirements regarding PI/Quality.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Two years experience with performance improvement or related area.
