Providence Health & Services Cytotechnologist ( Part Time - Day ) in Torrance, California
Providence is calling a Part Time, Day shift Cytotechnologist to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance, CA.
In this position you will:
Provide diagnostic screening for all cytology cases, including GYN and non-GYN.
Perform or oversee specimen preparation and provide assistance on fine needle aspiration procedures.
Maintain State and CAP quality assurance records, statistics and procedure manuals.
Able to provide indirect patient care to all age groups from neonates to adults.
Required qualifications for these positions:
Acurrent cytotechnologist license issued by the State of California
Proficiency with regulationsand requirements of California State Department of Health, College of AmericanPathologists, and other regulatory agencies isrequired.
Must possess schedulingflexibility to adjust to STAT orders, staffing, and workload changes.
Good oral and written communication skillsare necessary, as well as the ability to interact effectively andprofessionally with a variety of people.
Preferred qualifications for these positions:
- Registration in recognized pathology association (ASCP, NCA or equivalent), with hospital-based experience preferred.
