Providence Health & Services Account Receivable Specialist (EPIC experience required) in Torrance, California
Providence is calling an Accounts Receivable Specialist to the Revenue Cycle team in Torrance, CA .
In this position you will:
As the person knowledgeable and experienced with Traditional Medicare, State Medicaid, Traditional HMO Commercial as well as Medicare Advantage and Medicaid HMO plans.
Understand sequential billing specific to Sub-Acute/Skilled Nursing facility and Hospice claims, familiar with the rules and regulations from both State and Federal programs.
As the person knowledgeable in navigating in the following systems (EPIC, Suncoast Solutions, Camis, Net Solutions and SSI).
With the above, caregiver shall handle billing and follow up of claims effectively owning Account Receivable pertaining to services rendered to either SNF or Hospice service line.
Ensures the following WQs are worked accurately and timely.
Ensures monthly patient census report is generated in order to send patient encounters who continue to be in-house into the HIM Interim Coding Workqueues in preparation of monthly interim billing.
Serve as a point of escalation for operational issues up to but not limited to opening an ITSM.
Provide support and work with the system analyst to support resolution of the ITSM
Provide support and systems training for EPIC and Net Solutions as needed.
Ensures POEs are ran and Shares of Costs are cleared every month thru the state website in preparation for billing of Medi-cal claims.
Ensures NOEs are generated and submitted timely to Medicare per CMS rules and guidelines.
Ensures NOTRs are entered timely for live discharges.
Required qualification for this position include:
Course work in subjects such as team building, facilitating teams, process improvement, conflict resolution, etc. desirable.
Communication, teamwork and cooperation, flexibility and response to change, quality of work, availability, achievement motivation,
Well versed in the systems of EPIC, CAMIS, and Net Solution.
Able to utilize the Microsoft Excel application to export reports and perform pivot tables as needed.
