Providence Health & Services Director of Nursing ( Full Time - Day Shift ) in Tarzana, California
Providence is callinga Director of Nursing to the Providence Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana,CA.
Inthis position you will be responsible for:
Planning,implementing and promoting the nursing standards and ensuring high quality,individualized patient care for assigned clinical areas, consistent with thephilosophy and objectives of the Medical Center.
Assist in the coordination of activitiesrequired to attain and maintain ANCC Magnet ® Status.
This position will oversee the following departments, but the service line may be adjusted as needed:
Required qualificationsfor this position include:
Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) or higher required
Active California state RN license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification forHealthcare Providers from the American Heart Association (AHA),American Red Cross (ARC) or Military Training Network (MTN).
Current LA Fire Safety Card within 90 days of hire
Minimum of three(3) years progressivemanagement experience in the field of expertise
Minimumfive (5) years’ experience in an acute care setting in Med/Surg orCritical Care
Abilityto communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
Ability to deal with multiple priorities and short timeframes
Preferred qualificationsfor this position include:
Masters of Nursing degree (MSN); Masters in HealthcareAdministration or related field highly desired
Varied acute care clinical background
Prior experience with ANCC Magnet ® Status accreditation
National certification in area of specialty
Research knowledge and experience
