Providence Health & Services Registered Nurse – Kidney/Pancreas Transplant Coordinator in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse - Kidney/Pancreas Transplant Coordinator (Kidney Transplant Department, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Coordinate patient/family education, evaluation, waiting list registration and maintenance for cadaveric and living donor transplant candidates.
Share 24-hour responsibility as a resource regarding patients' transplant related needs.
Participate in recipient selection, arrange transplant admission, monitor clinical pathway progression and provide post discharge follow-up.
Participate in the collection and maintenance of patient/program statistical data and outcome measurement indicators.
Provide professional/peer education and participate in the development of patient education programs.
Assist with program development and awareness, research and other duties as delegated.
Individualize patient care using age-related concepts based on the program population and apply age-related concepts when communicating with and teaching patients/families.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Three years current experience in Nephrology nursing, including transplantation, preferred
