Providence Health & Services Inpatient Secretary II in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Department Secretary (Orthopedics, Day Shift, 0.9 FTE) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Create a friendly and cooperative atmosphere for visitors, hospital personnel and medical staff members.
Respond to inquiries, maintain documents, patient files and database records.
Type correspondence and other material.
Arrange meetings and appointments.
Accurately enter data into the electronic timekeeping system to ensure correct payroll.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent
Two (2) years general office, and/or Health Unit Coordinator experience
Knowledge of computers and word processing skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Epic
Excellent telephone skills and possess a pleasant telephone manner
Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Knowledge of medical terminology
