Providence is calling a Electrocardiograph Technician (EKG) (Cardiology Services, Variable Shift, Supplemental) to Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Washington. Position Details: This is a 0.0FTE position with no benefits. The supplemental position availability includes days, evenings, and weekends. Variable days.
In this position you will:
Study patient’s EKG requisition form to obtain vital information needed prior to the test, i.e., past heart disorders or special medication the patient received.
Explain purpose and procedure of the test to the patient.
Instruct patient to remove clothing to expose the chest, arms, and legs.
Attach electrodes to predetermined positions on the arms and legs.
Operate EKG machine.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience sufficient to acquire general familiarity with methods and terminology in commonplace work situations of the occupation
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Recent experience in acute care facility
Experience performing and interpreting electrocardiograms (EKG)
Registry is preferred
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate for Healthcare Providers
