Providence Health & Services Accounting Analyst in Seward, Alaska
Providence Seward Medical and Care Center is calling an Accounting Analyst to join their dynamic team!
We are seeking an Accounting Analyst to work closely with PHSA finance department, consultants, auditors in establishing and coordination of patient accounts systems, system input, processing reporting and training. Work collaboratively with all departments within the organization. Perform all duties in a manner which promotes the team concept and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy.
In this position you will:
Assist in the budget process for PSMCC; provide appropriate support to management as needed and directs and assists the managers in the annual PSMCC budget preparation.
Establish processes and reviews monthly financial information as needed with PSMCC department managers.
Support and educate the department managers to review costs, and understand financial trends.
Assist in preparing the facility Medicare/Medicaid Cost reports, assists in the preparation of audit work papers for various audits and internal audits.
Manage and coordinate Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
With the PHS finance department, monitors and reviews the General Ledger for accuracy. Prepares spread sheets and other supporting documentation for journal entries.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Six years of progressively responsible experience in Accounting without a Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Four years of progressively responsible experience with a Bachelor’s Degree.
