Providence Health & Services Clinical Nurse Educator in Seattle, Washington
Providence is calling a Clinical Nurse Educator (Nursing Admin, Day Shift, 0.5) to Providence Mount St. Vincent in West Seattle, Washington . We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Take the lead in developing and delivering clinical education, but works collaboratively to involve all managers in meeting wider Providence Mount St. Vincent education needs, including teaching classes in the absence of the Training Coordinator.
Work with local nursing schools and Neighborhood Coordinators to set up clinical rotations.
Support infection control officer in implementation of the infection prevention and control program.
Assist in direct care if urgent need arises and may on occasion be asked to assist in on-call rotation.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school of Nursing
Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Washington
Current CPR certification
Basic Life Support Instructor Certification
First Aid Instructor Certification
Valid Food Handler’s permit
5 years experience as a Registered Nurse
Teaching experience required
Proficient with technology, teaching aids, and resources needed for effective teaching
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master’s degree in nursing or a related field
Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) nursing experience
Teaching experience in skilled nursing and assisted living
Experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Clinical Nurse Leader a plus
