Swedish Medical Center is looking for an On Call Audiovisual Technician for Conference Services at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle, WA.

Swedish Medical Center is looking for a dedicated audiovisual (AV) technician who will uphold the goals and ideals of Swedish Medical Center and Providence Health & Services in providing excellent care and experience for our diverse patient population.

In this position you will:

  • Use all AV equipment competently, troubleshooting malfunctions rapidly when the situation calls for immediate action.

  • Conduct regular inventory and routine maintenance of all AV equipment, assesses equipment for correct operation, makes necessary arrangement for retrieval of missing equipment, & makes arrangements for repair of malfunctioning equipment with Technology Support Services. Work with outside vendors on maintenance/repair issues and/or to obtain quotes for replacement equipment.

  • Assist Conference Support staff with other conference related activities, including scheduling, signage, data entry, program materials, and follow-up activities.

  • Research and monitor trends, advances, and associated costs for new AV equipment for planning budgets and improving services.

  • Coordinate the evaluation of new technology for AV support, including all relevant stakeholders; make recommendations and participate in decisions to purchase new equipment.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school Diploma

  • Ability to troubleshoot audio and video signal flow issues

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience providing AV support

  • Experience with Mediasite (or other live to the internet production)

  • Experience with videoconferencing technology required.

  • Experience with scheduling software
