Providence is calling a full time Social Worker - MSW (1.0 Days) to our Providence Seaside Hospital in Seaside, OR.
Providence Seaside Hospital (PSH) is a 25-bed critical access community hospital with full Joint Commission Accreditation. The hospital provides patients with healthcare and health education that is on the cutting edge, and based on the Mission and Core Values, giving the best in compassionate healthcare that respects the dignity of each person.
As the city’s only hospital, Providence Seaside has a special place in the community. As a Social Worker, you would meet clients were they are; in the hospital, at a clinic, or their residency. Our Social Workers work closely with our community partners to ensure appropriate level of care and affordability.
In this position, you will:
Provide social work services to patients/clients in a variety of residential settings to enable patients and significant others to more effectively deal with the impact of medical and/or psychiatric illness, or disability, on individual and family functioning while under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor/Manager.
Assist in the finding of satisfactory solutions or adjustments to medical, social, emotional and financial problems related to illness or disability which may interfere with access to and use of medical care, taking into account patients' physical or age-related needs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master's of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited school of social work by the Council on Social Work Education or equivalent
Oregon Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) -or- Temporary CSWA license, or proof of CSWA initiated within six months of hire, required.
Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation
Driving record consistent with GOP Safe Driving Policy 303 Incident Point Matrix at time of hire
Education background and extensive experience within an area or program dealing with psycho-therapeutic treatment modalities
Knowledge and skills in understanding systems, various psycho-therapeutic treatment modalities and crisis intervention skills
Awareness and understanding of social-legal issues, community services and the needs of patients and services of the organization
Interpersonal communication and counseling skills
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
2 years of supervised, post-masters experience in a Home Health -or- healthcare setting
