Providence is calling a Full Time Day Shift, Program Coordinator, Operations to The Child and Family Development Center at Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA.

  • In this position you will:

  • Be under the direction and supervision of the CFDC Executive Director/Manager-Prof Support.

  • Function as the supervisor of specified administrative support staff, and is responsible for overseeingthe day-to-day administrative operations of the Child and Family Development Center, including - but not limited to: providing oversight, planning and evaluation of administrative support services, collaborating with executive management in the development, updating and communication of policies and procedural requirements, coordination of environmental, administrative and technology projects, organization, standardization and quality management of agency activities, assistance with administrative staffing issues including recruitment and orientation of new staff and interns, oversight of time reporting, coordination and monitoring of data compilation for submission of required reports, coordination of website content and marketing tools, and overall organizing, coordinating and monitoring of professional support services for CFDC.

Providence Saint John’s Child & Family Development Center was established in 1962 to serve the social-emotional needs of children (0-21 years old) and their families. The Center has a strong history of providing culturally sensitive and linguistically responsive mental health, outreach and developmental services, with priority given to underserved, overburdened and at-risk families who are unable to access quality services elsewhere . Services are child-centered and family-focused. Located in Santa Monica, the Center is part of Providence Health & Services, an integrated, not-for-profit network of hospitals, care centers, medical clinics, home health services, affiliated services and educational facilities in the western United States.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelors Degree in related field from an accredited university or equivalent

  • Valid California Driver’s License

  • Minimum four (4) years progressively more responsible related work experience

  • Self-motivated and organized in task completion.

  • Tactful and proficient in conflict resolution.

  • Able to work independently and with a team

  • Judgment must include ability to make accurate and long term decision under pressure

  • Ability to deal effectively with many people and provide leadership

  • Excellent human relations and oral/written communications skills

  • Must be able to prioritize, organize, and coordinate responsibilities

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Masters degree in related field from an accredited university or equivalent

  • Minimum three (3) years managerial experience in healthcare administration

  • Familiarity with LACO-DMH or community mental health

  • Knowledge of large health systems
