Providence Health & Services Director Behavioral Health Services ( Full Time - Day Shift ) in San Pedro, California
Providence is calling a full time, day shift Director of Behavioral Health to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in San Pedro, CA.
In this position you will:
Have over-site responsibility for Chemical Dependency and Psychiatric unit along with their respective outpatient service, and the Crisis Stabilization Unit. In addition will oversee some specific areas of Clinical Operations (i.e., nursing productivity and analysis, budget preparation and analysis, clinical process re-design, and other critical nursing projects).
Interpret the philosophy, objectives, operations and policies, accomplished by sophisticated strategies of creative problem-solving, critical thinking, strategic planning, business development, marketing, team development and leadership.
Be knowledgeable of social, economic, legislative and legal issues affecting the health care system.
Required qualifications for this position include:
California State Registered Nurse License or other clinical license related health services field.
Strong knowledge base or experience in specialty areas assigned.
Minimum 3 years recent experience as a unit manager or equivalent management experience.
Minimum 5 years Nursing experience in Acute Care or 5 years clinical experience in a mental health setting.
3 years progressive leadership experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master degree in a related health services field.
