Providence is calling a Senior Manager, Applications Finance to Providence Health & Services in Renton, WA.
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Applications Finance to be Responsible for managing multiple teams of IS application analysts and operations personnel supporting Finance applications in the IS ERP portfolio (including Lawson and Hyperion) and working with senior leaders in developing and maintaining a technology road map to support Finance capabilities and business needs. Responsible for the daily operations of tier 2 & 3 support of Finance ERP systems and associated supporting technologies.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Develop and Implements appropriate service delivery models for core application functions in defining, delivering, and improving services for the enterprise and its customers.
Maintains strong vendor relationships to endure vendor accountability in service and product delivery.
Is responsible for working with leaders of IS Strategy and Business Development in ensuring adherence to standards, and continuously evaluating the effectiveness of application systems.
Monitors the performance of applications within their domain and evaluates the performance of services on the basis of specific KPIs.
Oversees budgeting and expenditures for applications, staff and services within their span of control.
Develops budgets and the expenditures for information services related to applications in partnership with other leaders and the PMO.
Escalates critical issues, problems or delays in production, projects or any other issues that has an impact on the customer.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Services or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of Information Services leadership experience and 10 years overall experience in the application design and/or implementation of large scale Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
ERP experience must include leading Information Services teams in the following applications and business processes, ERP Finance Applications (General Ledger, Billing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management and Expense Reimbursement, Intercompany accounting and Revenue Management), Enterprise Financial Performance applications (Financial Consolidation, Planning & Budgeting, Health Care Analytics and Costing) and Project Management applications (Project accounting and management, project costing and billing)
ERP experience must also include business process integration of Finance Applications with Supply Chain Applications (e.g. Contract Management, Sourcing, Purchasing, Supplier/Vendor Management, Pricing, Inventory) at a minimum. Working knowledge of supply chain applications is an added advantage.
Key experience highlights include: Demonstrated ability to create and successfully execute strategic plans for highly complex issues; healthcare information services operations and support; experience standardizing complex and disparate processes; methodologies related to application management such as system deployment, support, and life cycle; experience in process improvement methodology, change management, operational improvement in complex systems. Must have proven ability to interact at and communicate to all levels of an organization. Organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities are critical for success in this position.
Experience with vendor management including contract negotiation and relationship management
Proven capability to build productive outcomes using networked teams in dynamic organization environments
Experience developing and managing an operations and project budget for an information services organization
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multi-disciplinary groups and to accomplish work through subordinate managers and supervisors, or high level individual contributors.
Must be action oriented and possess superior judgment, critical thinking, problem solving and cognitive skills.
Ability to comprehend customer business needs with respect to support of and impact to PH&S organizational objectives, mission, and core values.
Ability to balance multiple priorities and information needs across functional programs, facilities and regions as well as organize short-term and long-term responsibilities in response to changing demands.
Respected leadership skills, particularly in the areas of application life-cycle management with detailed knowledge regarding core vendor strategies.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage information technology in large and complex organizations cost efficiently and effectively.
Ability to rapidly summarize complex information and present to others.
Outstanding written and verbal communications.
Possesses exceptional planning and organizing capabilities.
Proficiency with MS Office suite of products.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Masters degree in Information Services, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or a related IS or healthcare field.
Experience with not-for-profit healthcare services sector
Experience with large scale business transformation and ERP system implementation projects with scope spanning multiple regions and/or geographies and business process areas.
Experience with ERP assessments including vendor and software selection experience.
