Providence Health & Services Senior Financial Analyst, Contract Analytics in Renton, Washington
Providence is calling a Senior Financial Analyst, Contract Analytics to Providence Health & Services in Renton, WA.
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to perform high level and detailed analytical functions for contract management and negotiation. This includes the creation and communication of complex financial models for the purposes of valuing historical and future performance of existing and new contracts. The incumbent has a strong to expert knowledge of payment methodologies for both government and commercial payors. In addition, the role requires the ability to collect information (often from diverse sources), analyze, summarize and provide recommendations to contract managers and hospital leadership.
In this position you will:
Support managed care’s initiatives through analysis and perform forecasts on the impact of reimbursement terms.
Model complex financial terms and proposals using the contracting management system and other modeling tools as needed.
Have the ability to analyze and interpret professional and facility data.
Develop and produce payer specific financial reports on a periodic and ad-hoc basis for hospital management and decision making.
Assist in the negotiation and analysis of managed care contract proposals.
Perform various ad-hoc analysis quantifying the impact of new or proposed changes in hospital pricing.
Work as a liaison for Epic plan master and payer DRG mappings.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in analytics.
Strong knowledge of hospital reimbursement methodologies, third-party reimbursement procedures, and direct managed care experience.
Advanced computer skills including Excel and MS Access.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Health care experience strongly preferred.
Health plan experience a plus.
