Providence Health & Services Project Manager Sr Cas in Renton, Washington
Providence is calling a Senior Project Manager CAS to Providence Health & Services in Renton, WA.
The Program Manager is responsible for the effective oversight of projects assigned by the Director. This position applies solid programmatic management and leadership skills and experience in delivering projects on-time, within budget and with high customer satisfaction. Proactively does research and supports governance practices including project planning, coordination and facilitation of technology, and collaboration tool management. The position reports to the Director, Governance Relations – Community Boards.
In this position you will:
Develop and maintain the Community Board (CB) system-level support work plan, lead projects, provide input and improvement suggestions, review and coordinate with executive leadership, etc., as assigned.
Demonstrate effective interactions and positive interpersonal skills in dealing with fellow caregivers / employees, supervisors, stakeholders, community board members, other department caregivers / employees and vendors in order to maximize productivity and positive working relationships.
Work independently and manage time effectively. Make informed decisions about where to invest efforts and time based on established priorities as demonstrated by: complete assignments on time; communicate with customers and supervisors regarding prioritization and target completion dates based on business need or impact.
Responsible for positive relationship management with the designated sponsors of projects. Is accountable for identifying and managing customer expectations.
Research and provide analysis support in moving towards standardization of leading governance practices. Research health care governance trends and best practices and makes recommendations for improvement in education, reporting, development, delegated accountabilities and policies.
Coordinate and facilitate technologically complex multi-media activities, events and meetings. Lead planning and implementation for several large meetings, including the annual CB Chair in-person meeting and key elements of the annual Governance Conference events.
Responsible for representing project (s) and driving cross-stream and cross-region priorities. This process involves defining deliverables and ensuring that business expectations are met within schedule. Responsible for representing priorities in the development of large projects.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience or five (5) years’ experience in increasingly responsible, complex program coordinator roles in a comparable (health care) or large institution.
Intermediate knowledge of program management including research, reporting, technology, and software.
Ability to conduct industry research, analysis, planning, and collaborative decision-making processes.
Provides leadership, coaching, group facilitation, communication, project structure/plans, and technical expertise.
Ability to produce high quality management and decision documents and tools for system-level leadership and governance.
Team and meeting facilitation skills including planning, design and execution.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Strong focused written and verbal communication responsive to the needs of the customers.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
10 years’ experience in a health care organization.
Four (4) years’ experience on program teams or as a lead or operations manager.
Experience working in virtual teams.
Intermediate experience in the use of desktop software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe and Visio.
Intermediate SharePoint administrator skills.
Experience using the Directors Desk board portal.
Change management and facilitation experience.
Demonstrated success in managing projects and/or programs in a multi-region or divisional, complex organization.
Experience with volunteer health care board support and development.
Knowledge of and experience using change management and process improvement tools and processes to provide planning and facilitation leadership that enables teams to develop a shared need, common vision, strategic plan, goals and/or resolve critical issues.
