Providence Health & Services Associate Project Manager – Physician Services in Renton, Washington


Providence is calling an Associate Project Manager to ProvidenceHealth & Services in Renton, WA.

We are seeking an Associate Project Manager to perform a variety

of project coordination activities that support project management activities (Risk, Compliance,

Safety and some IT) in Physician Services. The APM will support PM's

and/or lead and administer lower complexity strategic projects for the

division. This position is considered an entry level role to assist a project

team. The APM is expected to perform all duties in a manner that promotes

In this position you will:

• Coordinates overall

Physician Services Risk, Compliance and Safety (RCS)Program activities (Involving some


• Completes assigned

projects to support the implementation of the program

• Provides support to

Physician Services Risk and Compliance Steering Committee, and its sub-committees and

work groups as assigned.

• Prioritizes and

organizes both short-term and long-term responsibilities in response to

frequently changing demands and frequent interruptions

• Supports data and

report validation processes

• Performs assigned

individual project tasks as well as contributes to the completion of overall

program goals. Assists others in completion of high priority tasks when

necessary to meet roadmap timelines

• Maintains

appropriate program information and project plan documentation; prepares and

distributes project/program status reports

• Maintains current

content on Physician Services RCS WellSpot/SharePointe sites.

• Collects, drafts,

and submits documentation for updates in coordination with department


• Provides

“just-in-time” support during and after implementation demonstrating the

effective use of quality improvement tools to help guide others move toward

successful adoption of new processes and programs

• Creates in

coordination with Program Managers, Senior Director, or other Physician

Services leaders, professional and clear communication to lead meetings, and/or

presentations for leadership teams and committees as requested

• Works with Program

Managers, Senior Director, and staff providing support as part of


• Receives, reviews,

and triages issues as needed to eliminate barriers threatening implementation

and/or maintenance of RCS Program elements

• Completes all

necessary duties regarding required paperwork and associated data entry in an

accurate and timely manner

• Design and implement

lower complexity projects for the Physician Division to achieve strategic

objectives across the system.

• Research impacts,

costs, benefits, compliance and other factors that affect a project. These

activities will be directed by the PM.

• Actively demonstrate

and encourage positive interpersonal behavior. Manage own time

effectively with guidance from PM's and manager on priorities.

• Complete assignments

on time; define and communicate priorities to colleagues; achieve target completion


• Work with PM's to

define scope and goals for higher complexity projects.

• Develops and

document scope, project plan, key stakeholders, communication plans, and risks

associated with lower complexity projects. Initially, this work will be done in

partnership with leadership and PMs.

• Work with analysts

in compiling metrics and data for administration.


Required Qualifications:

  • Two years of projectcoordinator experience.

  • Superior written and oralcommunication skills.

  • High level of confidentiality

  • Ability to functionindependently, anticipate needs

  • Working knowledge of healthcare risk,compliance, safety and IT (awareness of Epic)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree minimum,Bachelor degree preferred

  • HIGHLY preferred experience in the medical field andclinic environment (MA., NA, RN)

  • Basic acquired knowledge ofcompliance, risk, safety, IT, and the healthcare business

  • Project management experience(in healthcare setting preferred)

  • Advanced experience in the useof desktop software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio.

  • Advanced analytical andorganizational skills.
