Providence Health & Services Security Officer in Portland, Oregon

Description:

Providence is calling an on-call Security Officer for a rotating/variable shift opening to Providence Health & Services in Portland, OR.

In this position you will:

  • Provide security services to patients, visitors, staff, physicians and volunteers which promotes a safe and secure environment and safeguards Providence Health & Services property.

  • Respond to emergency situations relating to safety and security concerns.

  • Provide assistance of a more general nature when requested.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • State of Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) Professional Certification or temporary work permit upon start of work date

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified, or obtained within 90 days of hire

  • Valid drivers license with good driving record

  • Experience using personal computer with Microsoft applications

  • Must be 21 years of age

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • College level course work in professionally related fields

  • 1 year prior security/law enforcement experience

  • Experience in a healthcare industry
