We have two on-call (part-time) Security Dispatcher positions at the Providence Security Operations Center located at the Providence Office Park. The operations center serves as the primary emergency and non-emergency communications center for 11 hospitals and 100’s of other locations throughout Oregon and Washington. This position is ideal for someone who is resourceful, comfortable with ambiguity and change, has the ability to multitask, confident in yourself, and a self-starter. You should be a critical, independent thinker who is always proactive, someone who manages tasks well ahead of time. If you join the Regional Security Services team, you’ll be part of an incredibly hard working and fun team responsible for delivering exceptional security to the hundreds of locations and countless number of caregivers, patients, and visitors across the Oregon and SW Washington region.
Schedule: One position available is part-time working Friday and Saturday, 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM plus additional shifts and hours as available. One position available is on-call only working shifts and hours as needed.
In this position, you will:
Work in the Providence SecurityOperations Center (PSOC) which is operated much like an E911 center.
Provide call-taking anddispatch services by prioritizing emergency, urgent and routine calls forservice for the Oregon Region and other contracted facilities.
Operate and monitor multiplesystems including the computer aided dispatch (CAD) program, closed-circuittelevision (CCTV) cameras, alarms and access control systems.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years of experience handling complex matters that includes applying organizational policies and procedures
1 year of prior experience working in environment with urgent or emergency conditions
Ability to speak clear and concise English
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
1 year of prior experience in dispatching environment experience
Prior health care experience
