Providence Health & Services RN - Outpatient Transfusion in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse - Outpatient Transfusion (0.6 FTE, Days) to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.
In this position, you will:
Provide and supervise professional, independent nursing care for Providence patients that are as evidence-based as possible.
Provide care that is based in the nursing process and is consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act.
Apply knowledge of assessing, planning, ordering, giving, delegating, teaching and supervising professional nursing care delivery that promotes patients’ optimal health and independence.
Utilize a broad range of general nursing knowledge and expertise.
Develop and validate knowledge and skills essential to the assigned department, patient population and/or practice area.
Participate in and lead clinical teams and supervise, assign or delegate to licensed practical nurses (LPN’s), certified nursing assistants (CNA’s) and other health care workers.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) at time of hire
American Heart Association Basic LifeSupport (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification within 6months of hire
Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) within 2 years of employment
2 years of oncology RN experience
Relevant training and certifications applicable to the position, as specified bythe Nurse Manager
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing strongly preferred; required for newly hired RN's as of 2018.
1 year of acute care RN experience
