Providence is calling an RN Nursing Quality Supervisor to our busy Gateway Immediate Care in southeast Portland.

This position offers a full-time day shift schedule and an excellent benefits package including paid time off, retirement plans, and more. The ideal candidate possesses a strong nursing background (preferably in an emergency or urgent care setting) and excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, as it directly manages a team of 4 RNs and mentors a team of Medical Assistants.

In this position, you will:

  • Be an integral member of the clinic leadership team in bringing the professional nursing perspective and expertise to the group and upholding the standards of clinical practice.

  • Be responsible for the oversight and supervision of clinical staff performance, coaching, mentoring, developing, and implementing clinical best practices.

  • Be responsible for the oversight and supervision of clinical quality, ensuring state and federal compliance and clinical support patient care services are provided in an efficient and safe manner that is consistent with clinical best practices.

  • Provide direct patient care at top of Registered Nurse (RN) scope of practice, according to the individualized needs of the patient using the nursing process and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.

  • Coordinate patient care activities with other members of the healthcare team in a collegial relationship.

  • Be responsible for supervising nurses working in Providence Medical Group (PMG) Immediate Care facilities.

  • Be competent in analyzing patient data with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial, spiritual and chronological maturation process.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); an Associate's nursing degree with a minimum of 3 years recent RN experienced may be accepted in lieu of the BSN degree

  • Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate

  • 3-5 years of RN experience managing complex patients -or- successful completion of RN Ambulatory Residency program

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Prior experience in an ED or urgent care environment

  • Prior experience working in an ambulatory setting

  • 3 years of demonstrated experience with staff supervision, clinical staff education, competency development and evaluation, staff training and performance evaluation

  • 3 years of experience providing patient education
