Providence is calling a Registered Nurse-Subacute (0.0 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence Child Center in Portland , OR.
The CMFC is expanding its services, and we are looking for Pediatric and Sub-acute nurses to be the personification of what our center i s.

In this position you will:
Provide and supervise professional, independent nursing care for Providence patients that is as evidence-based as possible. Care is based in the nursing process and is consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act.
Apply knowledge of assessing, planning, ordering, giving, delegating, teaching and supervising professional nursing care delivery that promotes patients’ optimal health and independence. All Providence professional nursing practice requires a broad range of general nursing knowledge and expertise.
Accept development and validation of knowledge and skills essential to the assigned department, patient population and/or practice area.
Participate in and lead clinical teams and possibly supervise, assign or delegate to licensed practical nurses (LPN’s), certified nursing assistants (CNAs) and other health care workers.
Perform all duties in a manner that promotes effective team functioning and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) at time of hire; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification within 6 months of hire.
Pediatric and/or Long Term Care experience
Relevant training and certifications applicable to the position, as specified by the Nurse Manager.
In Compliance with the Department of Human Services (DHS), a criminal background check is required for this position.**
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing strongly preferred; Required for newly hired Registered Nurses as of 2018.
1 year of acute care RN experience
New to Specialty:
- Long Term Care or Pediatric experience

We are the only pediatric skilled nursing facility in the Pacific Northwest, providing 24-hour long-term, short-term, respite and end-of-life care to medically fragile children and young people ranging in age from infancy to 21 years.
When a child has profound disabilities and complex medical needs, providing the necessary round-the-clock care can be exhausting and overwhelming.
