Providence Health & Services Revenue Integrity Manager in Portland, Oregon


Providence is calling a Revenue Integrity Manager to Providence Health & Services in Portland, OR.

We are seeking a Revenue Integrity Manager to be responsible for charge integrity, charge reconciliation and financial analysis as it relates to regulatory compliant charging and billing guidelines. The position supports finance and operations by using clinical expertise and analytical skills to resolve charging and billing issues. The position also enforces ministry wide standards as determined by collaborative build and governance decisions.

In this position you will:

  • Be responsible for monitoring daily revenue processes as related to charging and for maintaining charge capture standards across the region.

  • Ensure WQ management and conduct root cause analysis with Epic/CDM teams.

  • Support ongoing system of concurrent and retrospective billing reviews to ensure compliant charging practices.

  • Assist services lines with standardizing charge capture processes.

  • Support charge master team in conducting CPT/HCPC code updates and partner with finance in completing FSC updates.

  • Participate in various RC and Finance governance committees as a subject matter expert.

  • Support Epic pre go live, go live, stabilization and ongoing operational functions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field. Equivalent experience and education may be substituted if the experience is closely and strongly linked to revenue enhancement and compliance and financial analytics.

  • A minimum of five to seven years of professional and analytical experience, project management and process improvement and experience with an electronic medical record system.

  • Knowledge of accounting and ability to complete financial analysis. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Extensive knowledge of CPT and ICD coding as well as charge accuracy programs

  • Proven knowledge of financial and charge capture audit process

  • Clinical knowledge of hospital services and medical record documentation

  • Strong computer skills: Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience in health care finance operations and clinical experience.
