Providence is calling a Research System Specialist – Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS) to Providence Health & Services in Portland, OR.

For example experienced Medical Assistants or other direct patient care and patient management professionals. Also auditors that audit the clinical trial flow in a pharmaceutical organization, or auditing clinical trial results (compliance of the protocol) in a research or academic institution, and interested in clinical research role managing and facilitating the Clinical Trial Management System.

We are seeking a Research System Specialist to primarily be responsible for reviewing clinical research protocol documents and replicating the protocol schedule of events in Velos eResearch CTMS. Once created, this schedule or calendar is used by others to manage a variety of research activities including billing compliance, budgeting, subject tracking, data collection, and sponsor invoicing.

In this position you will:

  • Be responsible for the development of detailed study event schedules from clinical trial protocols and using web based CTMS Velos eResearch.

  • Analyze protocol required events to determine appropriate clinical procedures to be used for budgeting and research charge tracking for billing compliance.

  • Communicate via phone, email, and Lync with research coordinators, department managers, and budget analysts at various Providence facilities throughout the 5 states regarding the specifics of a new study build.

  • Manage incoming requests for new protocols and amendments in a timely manner.

  • Establish and promote positive working relationships within both Regional Research and the research departments, throughout the hospitals and between other institutions involved in clinical research.

  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree with two years of CTMS relevant experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education level and relevant experience.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Knowledge of research design and experience assessing scientific and biomedical research protocols.

  • Experience in healthcare environment or clinical research setting preferred.

  • Knowledge of medical billing terms or research billing operations for industry-sponsored experimental research.

  • Previous use of eResearch and experience with CTMS.
