Description:

The Laboratory of Basic Immunology in the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute at Providence Portland Medical Center is looking for a Research Associate 1 who will be responsible for conducting in vivo and in vitro experimental procedures in the area of Cancer Immunotherapy, as well as performing data analysis and supporting other laboratory projects in a collaborative fashion. The successful candidate will have experience performing experimental procedures on mouse models; performing flow cytometry analysis of experimental human and mouse samples; performing cell culture experiments with human and animal tissue cells; and experience isolating, amplifying and analyzing DNA and RNA from human cells.

Providence is calling a Research Associate 1 to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.

In this position, you will:

  • Assist the Laboratory Chief in the implementation of research activities in the Cancer Research laboratories.

  • Perform scientific and administrative duties under the supervision of the Laboratory Chief or other laboratory personnel.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor of Arts (B. A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) with major courses in the field of research -or-

  • 4 years of relevant work experience may substitute for Bachelor’s degree

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • B.S. in appropriate biomedical field
