Providence Health & Services Registered Nurse - Home Health - East Portland in Portland, Oregon


Providence is calling a Registered Nurse - Home Health to the East Portland Branch located at Providence Mall 205 in Portland, OR.

This is a full-time, benefited position working with our patients in their homes.

In this position, you will:

  • Under the direction of the Home Health Clinical Supervisor and on order of the physician, be accountable for direct and indirect quality care for patients of all ages, according to the individualized needs of the patients, following the nursing process and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.

  • Posses professional development which is an integral part of this nursing practice.

  • Coordinate patient care activities with other members of the healthcare team in a collegial relationship.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Current Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare provider -or- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire

  • 1 year of medical/surgical experience in an acute care setting

  • 2 years of experience in acute care -or- community mental health setting for Mental Health RN work assignment

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Driving record consistent with GOP Safe Driving Policy 330 Incident Point Matrix at time of hire

  • In compliance with the Providence Health & Services-Oregon, criminal background check is required for this position, based on assigned duties

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Recent Home Health experience

  • Hospice or Palliative Care experience for Palliative Care RN work assignment
