Providence Health & Services Registered Nurse - Gateway Primary Care Clinic in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse to our busy Gateway Primary Care Clinic. This position offers a full-time, Monday-Friday day shift schedule in a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting.
This is an excellent opportunity for an RN with good nursing judgment, the resilience to handle constant change, and a passion for caring for under-served populations.
This position requires a significant amount of desktop work and phone triage, responding to phone notes, working provider inbaskets, and managing MyChart messages. You will also be responsible for wound care, disease management, patient education, and mentoring clinical staff .

The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
In this position, you will:
Be the professional responsible for facilitating the patient care flow in the clinic while providing direct patient care for an assigned provider.
Facilitate the workflow in the area by conducting nursing assessments and documentation.
Contribute expertise in the areas of patient scheduling, telephone advice and pharmacy needs.
Assist with maintaining compliance to professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements and will support physicians in delivering quality health care to patients taking into account the patients' individual physical or age-related needs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
College degree in Nursing
Current unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
Skills assessing vital signs, providing direct patient care, managing time effectively, and practicing safety techniques
Knowledge of age-specific care for geriatric, adult, young adults, and pediatric patients applicable to clinic setting
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
1 year of related experience in an ambulatory setting in a medical office
