Providence Health & Services Registered Nurse Clinical Development Specialist (ICU) in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse - Clinical Development Specialist (1.0 FTE, Rotating/ Variable) to our Critical Care Unit at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.
In this position, you will:
Be accountable for the provision and quality of nursing services for a defined patient population, in support of Providence Health & Services system and regional goals.
Strategically ensure a balance of optimal and efficient patient care.
Ensure staff, patient, and physician satisfaction.
Facilitate cooperative partnerships with other organizational departments and professional groups.
Maintain a constant focus on patient-centeredness and staff and patient safety.
Create and maintain standards and systems for care delivery of the defined patient population.
Work with these systems of care delivery to promote evidence-based practices which are designed to support the management of productivity targets within a context of constant change in patient volumes, patient acuity, and available resources.
Use leadership in patient care delivery and strategic planning to:
Consistently support efficient and effective patient care services.
Achieve objectives for the defined patient population that support the organizational and system goals including advancing the strategic vision and goals of the Oregon Nursing Center of Excellence.
Constructively manage, change, and promote a team-based approach.
Model professional nursing standards and expectations consistent with the Sisters of Providence Mission and philosophy.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) completed or enrolled in clinical specialty
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current National Certification from American Nurses Association (ANA) -or- professional organization in relevant field of clinical expertise
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
6 years in nursing with experience in clinical focus area
- Current Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) licensure in specialty area
