Providence is calling a Program Development Coordinator toProvidence Center for Outcomes Research and Education (CORE) in Portland,OR. CORE is a non-profit researchlaboratory committed to improving community health. We use surveys, interviews, social networkanalysis, and mapping techniques to find opportunities to do health carebetter. In this position, you will:
Assist with process of completing the Providence Oregon region Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNA) and Community Health Improvement Plans (CHIP) for publication.
Participate in secondary data collection and key stakeholders interviews.
Help to optimize use of the web based portal tool for sponsorships, donations and grants, as well as collection of and reporting data from existing grants/programs.
Be responsible for supporting the portfolio of Community Health Improvement Plans across the Oregon Region, as well as facilitating a connection to research and evaluation projects between Providence Health & Services and CORE.
Bring a health equity and diversity lens to our work.
Provide data entry including some CBISA of reporting requirements.
Work with other CHD (Community Health Division) Program Managers periodically, to coordinate other programs aimed at increasing access to basic needs, oral health, and mental and behavioral health will also be included.
Facilitate schedules/agenda preparation for meetings, particularly Hospital Leadership Team meetings.
Be embedded with the Community Health Division and will serve primarily as CORE’s interface with the Community Health Division and related internal programs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
1-2 years of experience with grant writing and/or grant management
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree with health care or public health focus
2-4 years of experience working with social service, community organizations or other non-profits
Familiarity with clinical setting or patient setting related to patient issues around social determinants is strongly desired.
