Providence Health & Services Personal Care Aide Lead in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Personal Care Aide Lead (0.8 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence Elderplace Glendoveer in Portland, OR.
In this position, you will:
Under the direction of the Resident Care Supervisor and with clinical supervision by a Registered Nurse (RN), be expected to serve in a leadership role with other aides to complete all required documentation.
Assure that all care and medications are administered appropriately, to solve problems, and to communicate with the staff of the next shift.
Perform basic and routine quality care to the ElderPlace residents including assisting them in the activities of daily living and other personal care tasks.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and standard first aide certification
2 years of experience as a caregiver with frail elderly
6 months of medication administration experience
In Compliance with the Department of Human Services (DHS), criminal background check is required for this position, based on assigned duties. Fingerprinting may also be required
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Oregon
Completion of approved medication administration training and/or proficient in providing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care
1 year of medication administration experience
