Providence is calling a MRI Technologist to work in a hospital setting at various locations. Openings include full-time, part-time and per-diem (on-call) positions as well as multiple shifts.

In this position you will:

  • Perform Magnetic Resonance examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing sophisticated MRI equipment,

  • taking into account individual patient's special or age-related needs.

  • Utilize knowledge and judgment in regard to imaging factors, imaging technique and patient treatment needed to produce

  • optimal images.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Licensed through Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) License as a MRI Technologist

  • New graduates must have an OBMI Temporary Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) License upon hire, and obtain a permanent MRI license within 6 months from date that the temporary license was issued

  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and/or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technology (ARMRIT)

  • ARRT -or- ARMRIT (MR) certification upon hire, or within 6 months of employment

  • Completion of pledge to Image Gently/Image Wisely within 1 month of hire

  • Computer skills and knowledge of keyboard functionality

  • Ability to read, write and speak English

  • Expert knowledge of anatomy and physiology, imaging principles and practices, as well as the ability to obtain high quality images

  • Adherence to appropriate professional credentialing practice standards
