Providence Health & Services Financial Coordinator - Providence Children's Development Institute in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Financial Coordinator to our St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.
Come join the Providence Children's Development Institute team! This is a full time Monday - Friday position.
In this position, you will:
Be a part of a team who handles the direct interaction with patients and their families during difficult times, providing financial insurance and payment information to assist them in planning and managing their account balances related to specific services performed in the clinic.
Educate patients on various sponsorship programs available.
Be the Regional Business Office liaison with his/her assigned hospital.
Verify insurance coverage/prior authorizations and maintain proper documentation.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
3 years of experience in a hospital business office
Experience with medical and health plan terminology, Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes, International Classification of Diseases, 9th revision (ICD-9) coding
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Knowledge in reimbursement of healthcare accounts from insurance companies
3 years of experience in a hospital business office in a financial leadership role
Experience with medical specialty
