Providence Health & Services Director of Strategic Portfolio Management in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Director of Strategic Portfolio Management to Providence Health Plans in Portland, OR.
In this position you will:
Report directly to the Assistant Vice President of Product Development and Marketing, working in close partnership with the Providence Health Plan executive team and related leadership councils.
Be responsible for 7-10 direct reports.
Align the project management team to set strategic initiatives from the development and marketing department.
Participate in a wide variety of strategic, financial planning, and reporting functions that may have an impact on the total ministry's portfolio of projects in the areas of budget, customer value metrics, benchmarking, and capital project review.
Facilitate the review and direction-setting of program/project discovery, capital project planning, annual plans and analysis, preparation of feasibility studies, organizational and resource capacity planning, and due diligence.
Conduct benchmark analysis, periodic reporting, and customer satisfaction surveys.
Lead specific large-scale regional initiatives.
Support the mission and vision of Providence Health Plan by leading and/or assisting in the development of:
Annual operating plans
Market and environmental assessments
Oversee project management governance from the business-decision stage to final implementation and benefits gathering, deployment of effective process improvement and change management strategies, and provide other ad-hoc projects throughout the health plan.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelors of Science (BS) in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
Valid drivers license with a reliable vehicle to travel throughout the region
Comprehensive knowledge of Project Management methodologies based upon the Project Management Institute (PMI) model
Ability to establish and maintain relationships with a variety of business and healthcare executives
Proven research, planning, and analysis skills
8 to 10 years work experience in project management
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's degree or equivalent
Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate
Certification and formal process improvement methodologies including Six Sigma, Change Acceleration Process (CAP), and/or Lean
8 to 10 years of work experience in an integrated health system or a comparable background with significant project leadership experience
