Providence Health & Services Diagnostic Imaging Support Specialist in Portland, Oregon

Description:

Providence is calling a Diagnostic Imaging Support Specialist to Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR. This is an on-call, variable shift position.

In this position, you will:

  • Assist and direct patients while retrieving, organizing and inputting digital images and/or exam information into our Electronic Medical Records System (EMS).

  • Be responsible for all applicable software, and interacts with many departments, office staff, physicians and patients.

  • Possess extensive clerical, telephonic, and customer service skills.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school degree or equivalent

  • Basic medical terminology course (or completed within 6 months of hire)

  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification and other competencies as required, within 1 month of hire

  • 1 year of medical and/or clerical experience -or- Associate's degree in the medical field accepted in lieu of experience

  • Proficient in the use of computers and other office equipment (e.g., fax and copy machine)

  • Proficient in data processing and Microsoft Office software

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Diagnostic Imaging experience

  • Familiar with electronic software and equipment (e.g., cd burner, film digitizer, document scanner)

  • Electronic Medical Records System experience
